Is There Any Sick Among You?

Is any among you?

let him call for the elders of the church;

and let them pray over him, anointing him

with oil in the name of the Lord:

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick,

and the Lord shall raise him up…

- James 5: 14,15

Oil itself has no healing properties, but in both the Old and New Testaments, it is used symbolically to depict the Presence of the Holy Spirit. By anointing the sick person with oil, the elder uses a tangible substance to declare that the Spirit of God is coming upon the infirmed to bring His healing power. Although the oil itself doesn’t heal, the moment it is applied in prayer is the critical moment for the sick person to believe that God’s Presents is coming upon him to bring healing to his sick body.

If you know anyone who is gravely ill or weak that he is unable to come to church to receive prayer for his healing, let that person know he has a scriptural right to call for the elders of thee local church to come aniont him with oil and pray the prayer of faith.

Our Confession For Today

I confess that I am quick to help the gravely ill remember that they have the right to call on the elders of their local church to come anoint them with oil and pray the prayer of faith for their recovery. The moment that the prayer of faith is prayed, God’s power will be released - and that power will literally raise up the sick from the bed of affliction and out of the sickness that has disabled them. Jesus purchased healing for all believers. All they have to do is exercise their right to receive their healing by faith, and they will walk free of physical sickness and disease.

I declare this By faith in Jesus’ name!

Have a great day everyone and God bless you all!

Is There Any Afflicted Among You?

Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is     anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises.  - James 5:13

It may seem so much easier to talk to people about your problems. However, if you talked only half as much to God as you do to others about those problems, He’d be able to give you the answers and solutions for every situation or dilemma that you’re facing.

Although there is a time to talk, there is also a time when you need to stop talking and start praying! This is why Jesus says, “Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray….” (James 5:13)

Our Confession For Today

I confess that I run to the Lord whenever problems try to overwhelm me. He is my High Tower, my Strength, my Hiding Place, and the One whom I trust. He has never failed me or forsaken me, and I know I can trust Him. I thank God for the freinds He has given me, but they can never take the place that only  He has in my life. from this moment forward, I make the decision that before I pour out my heart to people, I will first pour out my heart to Him. I am willing to do whatever He asks and to give up anything He requires so that I may obtain the victory I need in my life.

I declare this by faith in Jesus name!

Have a great day everyone and God bless you all!

You Still Have Room for Improvement!

When Jesus then lift up His eyes, and saw a great company

come unto him, he saith unto Philip,

Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

And this he said to prove him: for he himself know what he would do.

-John 6:5,6

Let;s talk about why this question could have seemed preposterous to Philip and to the rest of the disciples. In John 6:10, we find that there were five thousand men in the crowd that day. This word “men” is not a nonspecific term that includes men, women, and children; rather, it is the greek word andres, which categorically means male individuals. Matthew 14:21 confirms that there were”..about five thousand men, besides women and children.” Jewish tradition would have forbidden the women and children to sit down to eat with the men; thus, we can know that the women and children were seated separately from the men on the mountainside and were not included in the figure of five thousand. So if you take the five thousand men ,five thousand women and five childern for each famliy. Remember , the people of Isreal believed that childern were a blessing from the Lord and tried to have as many childern as possible. Therefore , it is very likely that the number of childern present in that crowd may have been even higher than this estimate of five per family. This makes the figure of thirty five thousand people a reasonble estimate. In fact, it is most likely an underestimation! The point, however, is this: This was not  just a large crowd; a very large multitude of people had walked up that mountainside to see Jesus.

Don”t make the same mistake Philip did when a new problem or challenge arises in your life. Instead of fretting and failing to believe, stop to remember all the supernatural things you’ve already seen Jesus do in your life. Could the solution to this new dilemma possibly be any more difficult than any of the miracles you’ve already seen Him perform on your behalf.

Our confession For Today

I confess that my faith is growing and getting stronger every day. I am thankful for the situations that have exposed my true faith level, for now I can work on improving the capacity of my faith. I know that faith comes by hearing the Word of God, so I purpose to baptize my spirit and soul in the truth of God’s Word  until my faith grows to a higher level than I’ve ever attained before! I want to posses mountain- moving faith, so I determine to press forward with my whole heart and soul toward the goal of increasing the capacity of my faith!

I pray this by faith in Jesus name!

Have a great day everyone and God bless you all!

If No One Will Stand By You, The Lord Will Come to Your Assistance

At my first answer no man stood with me,

but all men forsook me;

I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.

- 2 Timothy 4:16

If you have ever felt betrayed by someone you loved, you should relate very well to the words the apostle Paul wrote in  second Timothy 4;16. Paul is referring to the time he stood before the Roman imperial court to be tried for the first time. In that moment when he needed friends to testify in his defense, Paul turned to see who would testify on his behalf- only to discover that every one of his friends had walked out and abandoned him.

Now as Paul writes to Timothy to encourage him to stand strong in his own ordeal, he recalls that extremely difficult time when those close to him chose to walk away. Paul says, “At my first answer no man stood with me: but all men foresook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.”

Are you facing a disturbing situation today? Has something happened to make you feel lonely and abandoned by those you thought would be faithful to stand by your side? If this is the case, it’s time for you to ask Jesus to stand by your side. If you will ask Him for help, He will step forward to assist you, befriend you, and fill you with the power you need to victoriously conquer this difficult time in your life. So why don’t you go ahead and ask the Lord to help you today?

Our Confession For Today

I confess that Jesus loves me and understands me. Even though friends may desert me or fail to understand the  dilemma I am facing in my life, Jesus completely comprehends the entire situation. Not only does He understand, but He is also my biggest Helper in my time of need. When I cry out to Jesus in faith, He responds by manifesting His strong Presence at my side. His Presence is with me to assist me, support me, and give me the strength I need to conquer all the attacks that come against my life. With Jesus, I can and will endure everything I face in life!

I declare this by faith in Jesus’ name!

Have a great day everyone and God bless you all!

The Lance of Prayer and Supplication

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,

and watching thereunto with all perserance

and supplication for all saints.

- Ephesians 6:18

Paul instructs us to use every form of prayer that has been made available to us as it is needed. No one kind of prayer is better than the others; each serves a differant and necessary purpose in the life of faith.

Never forget that prayer is a vital piece of your spiritual weaponry. If you neglect this strategic piece of weaponry, you will find that the enemy keeps attacking you from up close. But as you learn to pray with authority, you will develop the ability to strike the enemy from a distance and therefore maintain a victorious position in your life.

God has placed the lance of prayer at your disposal so you can be assured of absolute and total victory. As you use this lance of prayer and supplication in all its various forms, you will continually reinforce Jesus Christ’s triumphant victory over Satan and gloriously demonstate Satan’s miserable defeat in every area of your life!

Our Confession For Today

I confess that prayer is a vital piece of my spiritual weaponry. Because I use this strategic piece of weaponry, I am able to stop the enemy from attacking me from up close. I pray with authority, and that authority gives me the ability to strike the enemy from a distance while maintaining a victorious position in my life. With the lance of prayer at my disposal, I can be sure of absolute and total victory, Although the devil tries to attack me, I overcome each of his attacks by striking him from a distance as I thrust the lance of prayer and supplication into the realm of the spirit. I commit myself to using the lance of prayer and supplication in all its various forms. As I do, I will continually reinforce Jesus Christ’s triumphant victory over Satan and gloriously demonstrate Satan’s miserable defeat in every area of my Life!

A Signal That Jesus’ Return Is Near

Now we beseech you, breathern,

by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,

and by our gathering together unto Him.

-2 Thessalonians 2:1

When we think about the coming of the Lord, it should make a strong impact in our lives. It should affect the way we live, the way we think, the way we carry on in our relationships, and the way we invest our money into the Kingdom of God. It is simply a fact that Jesus is coming for His Church, and we should constantly live in the light of His coming. When we live with the awareness that Jesus is coming again, it changes our conduct and behavior. By using the greek erotao(beseech), Paul is communicating to his readers that they have a responsibility to respond to his message about Jesus’ soon return. They are to live in a Godly, upright, and holy manner as they wait for ” the coming of the Lord.”

So in the days to come, close your ears to the mockers who make fun of you for believing in Jesus’ soon return. Then open your heart to the Holy Spirit, and allow Him to make you sensitive to His voice inside of your spirit. As you are faithful to do this, you will recognize that moment when the presence of God becomes much stronger in the church, and you’ll know that moment for what it is- one of the greatest indications that Jesus’ return is upon us!

Our Confession For The Day

I confess that I am living a holy life that pleases God, a life for which I am not ashamed. I say no to sin; I crucify my flesh; and I do my very best to yield to and walk in the Spirit. I am sensitive to the Presence of God. And when the moment draws near for Jesus to come and collect His people to Himself, I will sense the growing strength of His Presence in the Church and will recognize it as a signal that God’s people will soon be leaving planet earth! I believe in Jesus’ coming; I expect it in my lifetime; and I am doing all I can to preach the Gospel to the lost so they won’t be left out when Jesus gathers the Church to Himself.

I declare this by faith in Jesus’ name!

Have a great day Saints and God bless you all!

Are you Living Only for Today- or Living Also for Eternity?

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved,

what manner of persons ought you  to be

in all holy conversation and godliness?

- 2 Peter 3:11

Too often we devote the bulk of our time to our homes, gardens, cars, businesses, or other worldly affairs. Although we must give attention to the basic things that are necessary to life, we make a huge mistake if we focus on these temporal matters while neglecting the eternal spiritual issues that will pass from this life into the next. Only what is done for the Lord will last. Everything else will be left behind in a world that will one day be consumed with a fervent heat. Since everything will be dissolved, as Peter tells us, doesn’t it make sense that we invest in our spiritual futures as well as in our present lives?

Unsaved men in today’s world live for the present. Often they do great philanthropic works because they want their names to be remembered in the future generations. Their desire is to have people revere them, place their names on buildings, name streets after them, and so forth.

The message I convey to you today sitting here in my wonderful office is a message I want to impress upon you today is: Take the time to consider your priorities in life. Are you investing in eternity, or are you consumed with natural things that won’t survive that consuming fire, which will one day melt everything that exists? Since what you do for Jesus is the only thing that will survive, don’t you think it would be wise to prayerfully consider your life to see if you are investing as much in eternity as you are investing in the present?

Our Confession For Today

I confess that I am living for eternity. Although I thank God for all the possessions He has given me, I realize that all of these are temporary blessings. The greatest investment I can make is in my spiritual future, so in addition to managing the physical blessings God has given me, I am a wise investor in my eternal destiny. I spend the bulk of my time, my money, my talents, and my energies on things that will further God’s Kingdom and outlast this world!

I declare this by faith in Jesus’ name!

Have a great day everyone and God bless you all!

Don’t Jump Ship!

So Then, let us (apostles) be looked upon as ministering servants of Christ and stewards (trustees) of the mysteries (the secret purposes) of God.

-1 Corinthians 4:1  Amplified Bible

When you are serving faithfully and trying to obediently do what God asked you to do, the devil hates it! He’ll do everything he can to dissuade you to stop. Often he attacks your mind with allegations, such as, “Why are you doing this? No one appreciates you anyway! Here you are, working, striving, sweating, and slugging it out while other people are having a good time. If no one else cares, why should you care? Come on - you’ve done enough!”

Likewise, you must know that as you seek to do God’s will for your life, you’ll have to take on all kinds of assaults and challenges that inevitably accompany obedience. and let me warn you, there will be times when your flesh tries to find away to jump ship and get out from underneath the pressure of obeying God! Your flesh would love to be “led” somewhere else where faith isn’t required and the crucifixion of flesh doesn’t seem so necessary.

You see, it’s easy to start obeying God. Initiating a project is fun and exciting, and it’s always the easiest part. The difficult part is sticking with that project and seeing it through all the way to the end. The real test comes when the excitement is gone and the reality of hard work and commitment begins to dawn on you. That’s always the golden moment when the flesh is tempted to forget you ever heard from God and to start looking for a way out!

That is the hard reality of  life for all of us as servents of God. Yes, it would be nice to hear “thank you” from time to time. But lack of apprecition must not affect our determination to row our boat and do what God has called us to do.

Our Confession For Today

I confess that I have a job to do and that I.m going to do it! I will not jeopardize my destiny by succumging to the discouraging  voice of the enemy. If the boat is going to move, I must do my part to move it. Wheather or not I ever hear the words “thank you” from anyone, I am the servent of God and I will do my service as unto Him!

I declare this by faith in Jesus’ name!

Have a great day everyone and God bless you all!

Investing in Your Eternity

If we are to live wisely, we must invest not only in temporary moments of pleasure, but also in the eternity that lies before all of us. Moments of pleasure in this life are enjoyable but fleeting; however, what we invest in eternity never fades. This is why Paul told the rich in Timothy’s church that they were to be “laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life(1 Timothy 6:19). The same message applies to us today.

If you are a wise investor, you are already aware that you must think long term when you make your investments. Likewise, as you sow your seed into the Gospel and into those who take it to the ends of the earth, you must remember that you may not see the tangible fruit of your investment in this life. But one day when you get to Heaven, you will at last see the phenomenal reward of your giving. Then you will reap the dividends of the finances you sowed into the Kingdom of God!

So don’t spend all your money on your earthly existence and forget to lay up a good foundation for the eternity that lies in your future. Give now, and by faith perpare for yourself a wealthy existence in the eternity that lies before you!

Our Confession For today
I boldly declare that I am investing in my future! All of eternity lies before me, so I am sowing seed into the Kingdom of God, believing that it will be multiplied back to me now as it is also laid up for me in my eternal future. I am a wise investor, so I sow regularly and faithfully into the work of God’s Kingdom- and my faith investments are reaping for me a great harvest in the days to come!

I declare this by faith in Jesus’ name!

Have a great day everyone and God bless you all!

For God’s Glory,

A message to the Rich

Change them that are rich in this world,

that they be not highminded,

nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God,

who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.

_ Timothy 6:17

Riches are uncertain. Just ask those who thought they were financially set for life but then lost almost all their fortunes through a sudden change in the stock market. There are many people who wake up in the morning rich but go to bed that same night financially insolvent. therefore, Paul tells the rich that instead of putting their hope in finances that are uncertain, they are to fix thier hope “….in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.”

If your sence of security rests in your financial portfolio and then your portfolio diminishes or disappears, you could be thrown into an enormous identity crises that results in great fear, anxiety, and insecurity. But when you trust is in the Lord, you are never shaken no matter what happens in the material realm. Why? Because your idenity is not in what you possess but in who you are in Jesus Christ.

Our Confession For The day

I confess that because my trust is in the Lord, I am never shaken. My identity is not in what I own but in who I am in Jesus Christ! Even though I am financially blessed, I keep WHO I AM separate from WHAT I OWN. Who I am is much more important than what I own, and my relationships are much more important than the material things I possess! I will not let my prosperity go to my head and make  me think I am better than others. God has blessed me so I can be a blessing. Therefore, I see myself as the servant of God, called to manage and distribute the funds at my disposal as He desires!

I declare this by faith in Jesus’ name!

Have a greatday everyone and God bless you all!
